Here’s to Growing Your Capacity in 2025

Opening space for more things that matter, with less energy leaks and less stress

Today is a spacious morning when the bread is baked and its warm aroma penetrates the house. I’m writing this before I become so soft and fluid as to not have capacity to formulate publishable words.

Symbolically, it’s today that I’ve ran out of beans for the year.

I think I used up my capacity well in 2024. I haven’t gone overboard. I have seized morning lights, moments of stillness, and impulses to move. I managed to stop just before burnout. I powered through periods that demanded it, often with rewarding experiences on the other side. Then, I caught a breath.

I’ve been just a bit better with managing my energy than last year. But that was the bit that made all the difference.

I learned about hosting capacity. I learned that it can be grown by boosting my emotional capacity, focus, and skill — as well as by creating collaborations and synergies. I have practiced the latter plenty. And I now know for a fact: to cross critical thresholds, working better together is a must.
