Hi Stephane, thanks for your comment! But that’s the thing — in this piece, I tried not to tell what a person should do it a dire situation. I didn’t indicate that they should assess their situation and make a change based on improving oneself for the sake of being “better in the future.

I leave it as an open question to the reader ;) It’s up to everyone to decide what to do (or not do) and what’s the primarily perspective from which they want to look at life.
