I am so glad you mentioned this so explicitly! I guess very few people think about it this way — that falsifiability is a quality, let alone the essence, of the scientific method!
As a society, we nowadays rely extensively on the findings of science — and that’s precisely why it is absolutely essential that we keep this falsifiability in mind.
