I guess it’s also the matter of what kind of therapy you choose. I don’t have too much experience with it, but from what I understand, psychoanalytical therapy s one of the most “rigid” and intellectual approaches. But there are also ones that are more directed towards acton — for example, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
