Thank you for sharing this Ashley. This resonates so much with me. The topic of my relationship with my Mom is something I want to write about eventually — but I still haven’t managed to draw a line between “what’s off limits and what’s fair game.” But your story certainly helps, first of all, because I am reminded that I’m not alone. The difficult relationships with our mothers is a part of the experience of many people.
