Sometimes we’re reminded about the value we bring in weird ways
For the past few weeks, I’ve been trying to find out how I can make sure the content someone stole from me gets taken down.
It’s harder than I thought.
Selfawareness.blog used to be my website. Then, I stopped paying for the domain. Someone who signs as Larry Carter has since reposted my articles to generate traffic to trash ads.
I couldn’t be more grateful.
How I gave up a blog with thousands of visitors
Larry (or whatever their name is) reminded me that what I created with that blog was a valuable asset.
Until… I decided it wasn’t.
In 2019–2020, I built a website called Self-awareness.blog from scratch. After taking the course called Freedom Machine from SmartBlogger, I decided to chart my path to freedom. I was going to have an independent site and make money from it.
From were I stand now, I think things were going well. I didn’t work on the website after 2020, but in 2021 it was generating over 3k visitiors/month just from Google searches. One at a time, email subscribers also kept coming. I had 306 subscribers…
